Just finished reading Akira, all 6 volumes of it. I can’t wait to see the movie. Yeah, I know…I’m am SO out of the loop.
And, being sick and all, I just laid down on the couch this weekend and saw Collateral Damage, Kung Pow:Enter the Fist, American Outaws, and Metropolis.
Collateral Damage: Well, being an Ahnold movie, I didn’t really expect much, but it was pretty good. Nice twist in the end of it too.
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist: It wasn’t as funny as I was expecting it to be, but it did have its moments. Oh, and by the way, if I see another movie that spoofs The Matrix, I’m gonna scream. Really loud. While a camera circles around me.
American Outlaws: Ali Larter. Grrrowwl. Oh, right, the movie. I don’t watch westerns that much, unless you count all the Clint Eastwood movies they showed every Sunday on TV, but it had some cool scenes. Makes we wanna rent Young Guns and the Quick and the Dead though. Hmm, on second thought, maybe I do like westerns
Metropolis: Wow, what an excellent blend of anime and CGI. Excellent story line as well. Too bad Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within didn’t take a tip or two from this film.
