Just a tip…
Throwing your card (credit, membership, or library) down on the counter (or even at the cashier, clerk, or library assistant) will probably not guarantee you courteous and prompt service. Just hand it or slide it to us.

Addendum: Placing your card right in front of you and making us reach over the counter to get it will probably guarantee you poor service as well.
