I’m giving this blog thing another shot.
I just can’t seem to fight this overwhelming urge to write something. The past few days have been especially tiring. My grandmother-in-law only has a few more days to live, and the family is emotionally distressed. Explaining death to a four-year old is especially difficult. There’s no book out there that can prepare you for the questions a child asks about death.
We’ve explained the fact that gran’ma is going to heaven. But she doesn’t want her to go, and keeps asking us when she’ll be coming back.
Adding to the emotional rollercoaster is our cat Arial, who just had kittens. Sadly, one was stillborn, another passed on the way to the vet, and another one seems to be clinging to life. Fortunately, there’s one strong one who will probably pull through.
I hate rollercoasters. I prefer to just sit down on a merry-go-round, or the ferris wheel occasionally. I can’t wait for this ride to be over.
