delivery hell…

August 11th, 2005

The battery on my iPod mini is keeping less and less of it’s charge every day, so I decided on getting an iPod battery backup, the Griffin TuneJuice. Amazon had the best deal, but none in stock (and not expecting any in a month or two.) Ah, but lo and behold, Sears.com had one, and would allow me to pick it up in store, saving me the cost of shipping and handling. And with a Sears right next to work, I could just stop on over while picking up lunch. So I whipped out the good ol’ Visa and ordered me some power for the commute to work. I just had to wait a few days for an e-mail to go and pick it up.

That was in the middle of July.

A few days before the scheduled pick-up date of August 2, I received an e-mail (and a phone call) that the pick-up date will be changed to August 9th. No problem, things happen.

While all the dates were a changin’, my card they were a’chargin. No problem, things happen. As long as I get it soon, I’ll be contented.

Of course, August 9th passed without an e-mail (though, I did receive several commercial messages for Sears.) So, I decided to e-mail customer service. Blah blah blah…we sincerly apologize…appreciate your business…no later than August 16…

Guess where I’m not planning on shopping online anymore.
