X-Men III

Things learned (and wondered) from X-Men 3: The Last Stand (Potential Spoiler Alert)

1.) Aren’t hyperdemic needles made out of metal?

2.) Why couldn’t Logan just stab Jean with one of those needles. I mean, there’s plenty of them lying around the floor apparently.

3.) Heck, why couldn’t Kitty Pryde just walk through the flying debris and prick her ass?

4.) Am I the only one who had this inkling that Worthington Sr. had more than just a problem with his son being a mutant? I kinda felt a gay son/unapproving conservative parent relationship going on. Or have I been watching too much Desperate Housewives?

5.) Speaking of Angel, why have I seen him in a couple of promo shots wearing a uniform?

6.) I can’t stop saying “I’m the Juggernaut, bitch!,” and it may sooner or later affect my marriage.

7.) You know, just to appease the comic book geeks out there, couldn’t Ratner allude to some relation between Charles Xavier and Juggernaut? I thought it would so cool to have him wheel by Juggernaut, bitch, (sorry) and give him a second glance. Or allude to Mystique’s relationship to Rogue and Nightcrawler. Heck, it would’ve been nice to see Havok visit his brother’s grave.

8.) Whatever happened to Nightcrawler? I know the reason why he’s not in the movie is mentioned in the video game - but I don’t have a PS2 or X-Box.

9,) Whoa whoa whoa…since when was Multiple Man a villain?

10.) My wife was shocked at the killing of key characters. I told her that everyone dies once or twice, or perhaps a dozen, times in the comic book world. It’s like a soap opera.

11.) Am I the only one who was picturing Sub-Zero fighting Scorpion and screaming out “Mortal Kombat” during the Iceman/Pyro fight scene.

12.) Speaking of Scorpion (flaming skull and all), I don’t know what to think of Ghost Rider.

13.) This is The Last Stand, but the short little clip right after the credits allude to a fourth one and there’s been talks of a Wolverine spin-off. Although every X-Movie seem to be just about him - but that’s another story. I would just like to see one thing - Wolverine wearing a mask. I’ve grown up with Wolverine wearing a mask, and as much as my wife and others love to see Hugh Jackman, my fondest memories of Wolverine going beserk all contains him wearing a mask.

14.) I hope the DVD have extended scenes of Mystique slowly transforming to a naked Rebecca Romijn. In fact, perhaps a behind the scenes look at the creation of that particular scene. In fact, perhaps the DVD-Rom could contain a screensaver of said scene.

15.) I’m the Juggernat, bitch!

[…] We saw X-Men 3.  We see so few movies, but we saw this one.Don’t see it.  I mean, sure, the CG animation is phenomenal.  And  Rebecca Romjin is naked. But geez…there are only two key plot-driving characters—Jean Grey and Leech.  And they handle both of them wrong. Here’s a good summary of what’s right/wrong with the movie.Click “read more” for not-really-spoilers-but-still-gives-away-a-bit.   So, Wolverine thinks it’s necessary to kill Jean Grey.  I mean, rather than just demutantize her.  How stupid! And what the f*** about Leech.  He’s kind of central to the story.  Oh, the Juggernaut didn’t quite get him?  Ok, we’ll just ignore him, then. My husband has had to explain the comic book characters dying and coming back to life thing to me numerous times. :)

And I was very confused about why it was called The Last Stand when that bit at the end clearly implied it wasn’t.
