This weekend I helped my parents move out of their last apartment and into their new home - far away. Like, I don’t know, a mile maybe.

Well, underneath boxes and boxes of miscellaneous boxes we found boxes of miscelleaneous boxes. And this.

My first girlfriend. (Sorry, honey.)

My Atari 130XE. Along with it’s floppy and cassette drive. I have no clue what to do with it - I don’t have a TV or monitor compatible with it, nor any converter cables to make it so. I can’t stand to part with it. I’m looking into putting Linux or something on it, but that may be too advanced for my skills.

My God, you won’t believe the amount of hours I put in front of this thing. The keys are yellowed out from millions upon millions of keystrokes. And this wasn’t even connected to any online service whatsoever. I was offline the whole time! Amazing!

It’s being boxed up and placed into storage until we get a bigger place. Maybe then I’ll check ebay for some joysticks, boot up some Ninja and party like it’s 1986.

My husband still has his Atari computer, and its plugged in in our living room. He even uses it occassionally. Granted its really just a novelty. But he’s got computers all over the house, so I just figure what’s one more?

The Atari doesn’t take up that much room, I say keep it. Don’t listen to Sky.
