Alright, it’s no surprise that I’m anticipating the upcoming Transformers movie. I’m planning on taking the day off, and perhaps the next day too.
But, after reading Ain’t It Cool News’ list of Transformers slated to be in the movie, I’m a bit disappointed already.
AUTOBOTS: Optimus Prime. Bumblebee (”The same G1 character we always knew and loved…He’s the scout, the one that comes ahead of the Autobots”). Jazz. Ratchet (medical officer/science officer - new form, not an ambulance). Ironhide (”He’s the muscle - a tough soldier…The first one to jump into battle” ).
What?! No Wheeljack? No Prowl? No Sideswipe or Sunstreaker? No Hound? And Ratchet ain’t an ambulance? WTF?
DECEPTICONS: Megatron (has a Social Darwinist view of humanity - survival of the fittest). Starscream. Brawl (”an extremely pissed off Decepticon. Always ready to jump into a fight, even when the fight isn’t worth it.”) Bonecrusher. Barricade. Skorpinok. Frenzy (an infiltrator). Blackout (sends an EMP-style blast to take out electronics, detection devices, etc. in advance of Decepticon attack).
What?!? No Soundwave?!? I mean, dammit, he’s Megatron No.2 man! That means no Rumble or Ravage! WTF!?
I’m still going though.

I really wanted Soundwave to be in it, I had the toy as a kid, but I guess turning into a personal stereo would not be that badass
